Alexander Technique

The Alexander Technique is a way of learning to move mindfully through life. We do this by releasing unhelpful patterns of tension that are often habitual.

By learning to recognise the   relationship between thinking and movement we can begin to take charge of our life and deal with stress and ill health by changing our habitual and automatic responses.

People, whatever their age, typically experience improvement in dealing with:

  • Back, neck and joint pain
  • Muscle tension and stiffness
  • Breathing and vocal problems
  • Anxiety and stress-related conditions

The Technique is often used to:

  • Improve performance and prevent injury in music, drama and sport
  • Enhance presentation skills
  • Develop ease and elegance in movement
  • Improve balance, stability and coordination

Individual 1 to 1 lessons;

  • 60 mins for £50
  • 30 mins for £30

Small group classes are offered and are £10 for 50 minutes.
